Polyethylene is a thermoplastic polymer of the polyolefin family, obtained by polymerising ethylene. It is available in different densities — low, medium, high and linear — each with a specific balance of rigidity, transparency, chemical resistance and processability. Polypropylene is one of the most widely used plastics in the world. A semi-crystalline thermoplastic, it combines thermal, abrasion and impact resistance, high ductility and low specific weight. STIR distributes the three main families: homopolymer, random copolymer and block impact copolymer.
